Wizyconf App Version 2.0.21 Date: 16.04.2024

Fix

[WMS-19789] - wizyhw: fixed an issue in which it was not possible to join MS Teams meeting from Wizyconf Station after release of the new version of MS Teams

Documentation: Wizyconf Station integration with Wizywebinar and third party conference providers

Conference Date: 09.04.2024

Improvement

[WMS-19358] - wizy: introduced half-webinar mode to boost performance in case of conferences with a large number of participants

Half-webinar mode suggests there are Speakers and Visitors in the conference (for meetings with more than 30 participants). First 30 members who join the conference are automatically added as Speakers, while the rest participants join as Visitors.

Visitors have access to a limited conference functionality compared to Speakers:

  • Visitors do not have Mute/ Unmute and Start/ Stop camera buttons.
  • If a Visitor wants to speak in the conference, they should raise a hand and a Speaker should admit the request. When the request is admitted, Visitor is moved to Speakers. There is no restriction to the number of Visitors that can be moved to Speakers.
  • A separate counter at the top displays the number of visitors in the conference.
  • Speakers can manage Visitor requests (Reject/ Admit visitors) via push notifications or via the Participants panel.
Note: It is currently not possible for speakers to manage visitor requests via mobile.

Documentation:  Wizyconf Videoconference - User Guide

Wizywebinar Version 576 Date: 11.12.2023

Improvements

  • Added a new feature, Anonymisation, that allows to anonymise roles in sessions. When enabled, the feature conceals usernames (of Speakers or Audience, depending on the anonymised role selected in settings) and applies blurring to video streams, as well as modifies audio streams to hide the speaker's identity while keeping their message comprehensible.
    How-to:
    1. When scheduling a webinar, go to Advanced Options
    2. Proceed to the Access tab
    3. Tick off the option Anonymisation and choose which role should be anonymised: Audience or Speakers (or both).

  • Improved the logic so that a user is notified about a weak connection with the relevant 'weak connection' toast notification in case the system detects a significant packet loss.

Documentation: Wizywebinar User Guide

Conference Date: 28.09.2023

Improvement

Improved the logic of storing Camera, Mic, and Noise suppression preferences in Wizyconf videconference:

1) Camera/Mic:

  • The chosen settings are applied to all conferences.
Example: If you enable the camera in the current conference, it remains enabled in all future meetings you participate in.

2) Noise suppression:

  • Noise suppression settings are saved separately for different audio devices.
Example: If you connect a Bluetooth headset and disable noise suppression, this preference is stored specifically for that headset. The next time you connect that headset, noise suppression remains disabled. If you switch to a different audio device, noise suppression is enabled by default until you manually disable it.
