How to use toll-free numbers for sending SMS

This document describes the requirements and procedure which allows to use toll-free numbers for sending SMS via CLASSOUND.

Introduction

To be able to use toll-free number for SMS sending in US, toll-free verification is required. In this document, you can find the requirements and instructions on how to complete the process. 

What is toll-free verification

With toll-free verification, the messaging traffic is eligible to be tagged as validated, which helps to improve message delivery and lowers the quantity of false-positive blocks.  The verification does not ensure that the customer won't encounter any blocking, as verification is not the same as whitelisting. However, as the sent traffic matches the verification application, this lets us collaborate with our peers more swiftly and share the data with the mobile operator and request that the blockage is removed. 

Verification timelines 

After the request is submitted, it may take up to 3-4 weeks to get the result of the request. Toll-free verification submissions are reviewed manually by the toll-free peer. For batch/bulk submissions, turnaround times may vary.

The processing of your request can be delayed in the following cases:

  • Missing data, unclear or incomplete fields
  • Multiple submissions
  • Multiple numbers per a request

Please make sure to submit clear and complete data, which will help to make the review process easier and more smooth.

Sharing or selling end-user information with any third parties for marketing purposes violates both Wildix policy and our peer's messaging policies and thus ineligible for verification. 

How to submit the request

To request toll-free verification, you need to open CLASSOUND Customer Care ticket, providing the information below (all items are obligatory for the submission):

  1. Customer Name
  2. Customer Email Address (for Status Updates)
  3. Message Sender Information:
    • Legal Company Name
    • URL/Website
    • Primary Company Address or Corporate Headquarters (address, city, state/ province, ZIP/ postal)
  4. Business Contact Information:
    • First and Last names of the Message sender point of contact (this contact should be at the end-business level, not the reseller).
    • Phone number of the Message sender point of contact
    • Email address of the Message sender point of contact
