Introduction
WMS 7 is primarily designed for new customers to meet their evolving needs. Existing customers can continue using WMS 6, which remains fully supported. They also have the option to upgrade to WMS 7 at their convenience.
With this upgrade, certain functionalities will no longer be available. Before upgrading, please review them to understand their impact.
You can check the full changelog WMS Beta Changelog rel70beta, containing the rest of features, improvements and fixes.
TLS 1.0/ 1.1 Deprecation
TLS 1.0 and 1.1 have been deprecated due to known security vulnerabilities and are not supported anymore. To maintain security standards and protect users from potential risks, WMS settings no longer allow administrators to re-enable these outdated protocols.
As a result, the following devices will no longer be supported after the upgrade:
FXS media gateways: W02FXS r1/ r2, W04FXS r1/ r2, W24FXS r1/ r2
FXO media gateways: W04FXO r1/ r2
VoIP phones: WP400, WP410 r1, WP480 r1/ r2, WP490 r1/ r2, WP500, WP600, WP600A, WP600ACG
You can visit this dedicated document List of Wildix devices EOL that do not support TLS 1.2 for the full list of unsupported devices and find the corresponding models for replacement.
Note, that WMS 6 remains in its long-term support phase. Customers using these devices can continue running WMS 6 without upgrading.
Additionally, customers on CapEx model can convert to HWaaS and get newer generation of devices. Consult HWaaS - Hardware as a Service for details.
CDR-View 1.0 Deprecation
As part of this upgrade, CDR-View 1.0 has reached its end of life and will no longer be supported. It is now replaced with Cloud Analytics (CDR-View 2.0), offering enhanced features, improved performance, and advanced reporting capabilities.
After upgrading to WMS 7 and transitioning to Cloud Analytics, you’ll gain improved data visualization, faster processing, and a more intuitive interface for better analysis and informed decision-making.
