How to activate Google Calendar Integration

Introduction

With Google Calendar integration, user’s status gets automatically updated in x-bees and Collaboration 7 based on the events in the Google calendar. For x-bees, Google Calendar integration also provides customers with the possibility to view available slots in the Google calendar of salespeople and schedule meetings with them from x-bees.

Requirements

  • Subscription:

    • x-bees: x-bees-Standard for access to Kite settings to set up calendars

    • Collaboration 7: UC-Business subscription plan or higher 

  • Admin access to PBX, Google Suite Admin Console and Google Workspace

Activation

To activate the integration, take the following steps:

  1. Go to WMS Settings -> PBX -> Integrations -> Cloud integrations

  2. In the Connectors section, click on Google Calendar

  1. Click Install

  1. Proceed with 2 activation steps

  1. On the 1st step, perform Domain-wide delegation:

  • insert Client ID and Scopes copied on Google Calendar page and click AUTHORIZE

  • the delegation is performed and you can move to the 2nd step

  1. On the 2nd step, insert Administrator email which has access to Google Workspace and organization's Primary domain indicated in Google Workspace

  2. Click Install to complete the activation

  1. The integration is activated

  1. You can manage the display of the status message for Google Calendar public events in user presence status. Just disable/ enable the option Display status message for public events:

By default, the option is enabled. When disabled, calendar event status messages are not displayed in user presence.
