    Limitations:

    • No sync between MS Teams and Wildix Collaboration user statuses

Application Usage

General Overview

Once you finish the setup process, you can access the Wildix Application from the left side navigation panel.

The Application interface consists of three tabs:

  • Phone - integrated Collaboration plugin
  • Settings - PBX domain name. Before proceeding to Phone menu, add PBX domain name here and click Save
  • About - information about Wildix

Collaboration Plugin Usage

Note: This mode requires Wildix Collaboration to be open in the browser or native app.

To use this mode and be able to control calls, you need to have a SIP device registered to your account.

You can also use Collaboration as a SIP device. For that, you need to activate call control mode (can be done only by an admin)

To enable it:

  • Connect to your PBX via SSH as a root user
  • Edit the config file /rw2/etc/env.ini (or custom /rw2/etc/env.custom.ini for persistence) by setting the parameter CALL_CONTROL_FEATURE=true
  • A new option Call control appears on login window

Starting from WMS v 5.03.20210709.3, Collaboration in MS Teams is loaded with automatically enabled Call control only mode.

Connect to your Collaboration account in MS Teams:

  1. Go to Phone tab
  2. Use Office 365 SSO or enter Login and Password
  3. If you use Collaboration as a SIP device, make sure Call Control only is activated
  4. Click Login

  5. If you don't use Collaboration as a SIP device, select a SIP device in the list of active devices (consult Collaboration Guide if you need details)
  6. You can now manage calls, send faxes/SMS, check voicemails etc :

Note: Starting from WMS v 5.03.20210709.3, it is possible to disable chats in Collaboration:

To disable chats:

  • Connect to your PBX via SSH as a root user
  • Edit the config file /rw2/etc/env.custom.ini by adding the parameter COLLABORATION_CHAT_ALLOW=false

If disabled, users do not have access to Chat tab in Collaboration, including Chat and Post-It options in Colleagues, Feature keys, History tabs etc.

teams4Wildix FAQ

Q1. Can teams4Wildix be integrated without CLASSOUND?

  • No, CLASSOUND is required to have the Integration working.

Q2. Can another SIP trunk be used instead of CLASSOUND?

  • Yes.

Q3. Can I as a partner install the Integration for end customers?

  • In both Modes, an end customer admin is engaged. For Mode 1, an admin installs the integration for all company members. For Mode 2, MS admin account is needed for the initial setup on teams4Wildix portal, since Office 365 tenant checks the required licenses.

Q4. Can I control Teams Dialpad from Collaboration, for example, put a call on hold

  • No, you cannot. Teams doesn’t allow controlling its Dialpad.

Q5. Can Teams contacts be dialed from Collaboration?

  • Currently, no. Export of Microsoft phonebooks will be implemented later.
