Note

Wizyconf is distinguished by updates from 3 different branches:

  1. Wizyconf app via Chromium OS (automatic upgrade). The system checks for updates once an hour. If there is a new version, it is downloaded and installed upon the next start. To upgrade:
    1. Power the device off/on by pressing Power button on Wizyconf Core or put it into a standby mode by pressing Power On/ Off button on Remote Control
    2. To check the App version, press Home button on a keyboard -> go to Wizyconf Settings menu (Google chrome icon)-> click on Main menu (three lines) -> select About Chromium OS (a mouse and a keyboard are required)
  2. WMS interface (manual upgrade). To upgrade:
    1. Upgrade WMS to the latest version from rel60/ rel60beta repositories
  3. Conference server: no need to upgrade, the changes are available right away

  • Added an option to protect sessions with end-to-end encryption (E2EE), which ensures that both audio and video streams, including screen share, are not being read or secretly modified by anyone other than the actual senders and their recipients.
    Notes: 
    • The feature is available upon request only. The request should be sent to denis.popov@wildix.com.
    • E2EE is not compatible with Recordings, Live Streaming. E2EE is also not compatible with mobile - mobile users won't be able to join encrypted sessions.

  • Added possibility to input ampersands (&) in First Name and Last Name fields when inviting participants to a meeting. 

  • Renamed Bookmarks into Download Bookmarks button in Recordings -> Edit recording section for more clarity.

  • Updated German translations.

  • Improved “File Preview” in Content Library: when a Speaker clicks on the “Show” button, the presentation opens on the same slide as the preview.
  • Extended functionality of the “Raise Hand” icon: non-broadcasters can use it to request broadcast permissions as before, but now Speakers and users with broadcast permissions can use it to request a turn to speak unobtrusively.
  • Updated the "End Session" dialog box with more concise messaging.
  • Added bookmark functionality to recordings, allowing to indicate points of interest while the recording is running during a session.
    • Note: The feature is available upon request only. The request should be sent to denis.popov@wildix.com.
    • How-to: Click on the Create Bookmark button at the top -> enter bookmark name -> click Create.
    • Bookmarks can be downloaded on the Wizywebinar tab in Collaboration -> Recordings -> Edit recording -> Bookmarks.
