Requirements

  • PC with Windows 10
  • USB 3.0 TypeA-TypeB hi-quality cable one meter max length
  • Wildix PTZ Camera

Upgrade procedure

  1. Run WildixCameraUpgrader.exe application:

  2. Connect the camera to the USB 3.0 port on your computer (use the back panel on desktop PC). Do not use any USB hubs or extenders.

  3. Wait while the application detects the camera:

  4. Select the firmware file Wildix_PTZcam_firmware_v3.1.68.db

  5. Click Upgrade button and confirm the performing the upgrade procedure by clicking Yes:

  6. Wait while the application is upgrading your device, this procedure can take up to 20 minutes. Do not disconnect the camera device during the upgrade procedure. It can harm your camera!
  7. Upon completion of the upgrade you will see a popup window with a success message. 

Appendix 1. Troubleshooting

Q: PTZ camera upgrade failed or Application can’t detect the PTZ camera

A: Try to use a different USB cable. Try to use a different USB3.0 port on your computer. Disconnect any unnecessary USB devices from your computer. Do not use any USB hubs or extenders.

Q: I connected the PTZ camera, but I see the “Unsupported device connected” message

A: Disconnect all other USB devices and connect only the Wildix PTZ camera.

Q: I accidentally disconnected the PTZ camera during the upgrade procedure

A: Connect PTZ camera back again and follow instructions
