Introduction
x-hoppers provides an active channel to colleagues and support anywhere in the store, connects clerks, allowing to easily communicate with each other in a broadcast as well as receive incoming calls.
As an x-hoppers user, you are connected to a broadcast in Retail mode (muted by default). If you want to talk, simply press a button to unmute yourself. Besides, you can accept incoming calls, after which you are automatically returned to the broadcast.

Note: There are 2 button combinations that have to be pressed at the same time:
Register - Call, Volume+ and Volume-
Power off - AUX function, Volume+ and Volume-

Usage
Joining the broadcast
The headset automatically joins the broadcast once left up from the charging cradle.
If the headset goes out of range or has been removed from the broadcast, it automatically rejoins the broadcast within 5 seconds of becoming available again.
Speaking in the broadcast
How to mute/ unmute
There are two options to mute/ unmute to speak in the broadcast:
- Call button: press and hold the button to get unmuted. You stay unmuted only while pressing the button. When the button is released, the headset goes back to mute.
- Mute button (Hands-free mode): press the button to unmute and be able to speak in the broadcast. All people in the broadcast can hear you. You stay unmuted till the Mute button is pressed again or till the headset is placed on the charger.
Muting the broadcast
To mute the broadcast, double-press the Call button. Audio from the broadcast gets muted for 60 seconds by default, unless another timeout was configured by Admin.
To unmute the broadcast before the 60-second timeout, double-press the Call button again.
Volume Control
Press Volume+/ Volume- buttons to increase/ decrease the volume of the broadcast.
Managing incoming calls
When you receive an incoming call, the LED indicator starts blinking with fast short green flashes and you hear a ringer.
Answer an incoming call
- Double-press the Call button to answer an incoming call and put yourself on hold in the broadcast.
Important: In the Retail mode, the headset doesn’t differentiate between the broadcast and an incoming call, which means the headset stays muted after accepting the call, until manually unmuted. Check the How to mute/ unmute section of this guide.
Put a call on hold/ Retrieve a call
- Double-press the Call button to put a call on hold/ retrieve a call.
Swap between active call and broadcast
- Double-press the Call button to swap between a call and the broadcast.
Increase/ decrease a call volume
- Press Volume+/ Volume- button to increase/ decrease a call volume.
End a call
- To end a call and return to the broadcast, double-click on the AUX Function button.

How to use ChatGPT
In case ChatGPT is configured, you can ask questions and instantly receive answers played back through the broadcast channel.
To ask a question when in broadcast:
Double-press the AUX Function button
Ask a question (e.g. Could you compare and contrast the following two products: an Asus Vivobook 15 and a Samsung Galaxy Book 3? Is the discontinued EXPEDIT series compatible with KALLAX? etc.)
x-hoppers, powered by ChatGPT, processes the question and generates an appropriate response based on its knowledge base
The response is then played back to the headset
How to perform voice authorization
If voice authorization is set up, you need to say your name and surname to join the broadcast:
- Lift the headset off the charging station
- When you hear “Please say your first and last name to use the device” press and hold the Call utton and say your name
- Wait till the login process is completed and you join the broadcast
How to use Push-to-talk on mobile
In case Push-to-talk is set up, you can send voice messages to x-hoppers broadcast via mobile and receive broadcast messages to x-bees conversation on mobile, having them played automatically in Speaker mode.
On mobile, you need to follow instructions below:
Go to Settings -> Integrations -> enable the toggle next to Allow Push-to-talk option:
Note: The Push-to-Talk button under Allow Push-to-Talk can currently be used to connect Jabra Perform 45 headset.
Important: On Android, it is necessary to allow "Nearby Devices" permission for x-bees app for the Push-to-talk feature to work.
2. Find x-hoppers conversation on the Inbox tab -> press and hold the relevant conversation -> on the pop-up screen that appears below, press the option Enter x-hoppers group:
3. To send a voice message to x-hoppers broadcast via mobile, user should press and hold the Push-to-talk button next to the message field:
The message is played to users in x-hoppers broadcast. Also, once mobile user enters the x-hoppers conversation, the group messages are automatically played on mobile in Speaker mode.
What is pronounced in x-hoppers broadcast is added as a message from the relevant user with a transcription and audio file:
