Usage
Receiving text alarm notifications
When alarm notification from a certain room arrives to W-AIR handset:
Caregiver can reject the displayed alarm and receive the next active alarm by pressing Reject button. If there is no other active alarm, the Caregiver receives the same alarm, if it is not accepted at the next escalation time
Caregiver can stop the displayed alarm and receive the next active alarm by pressing Hangup button. If there is no other active alarm, the Caregiver receives the same alarm at the next escalation time
Caregiver accepts or calls back the resident corresponding to the displayed alarm notification. Caregiver must go the room to clear the alarm. Finally, Caregiver is ready to receive new alarm notifications
Alarm List Navigation: In case the Caregiver accepts/ rejects the alarm, the next alarm (if any, sorted by highest priority) is received immediately. If multiple alarms are active when using Reject button, W-AIR handset displays Alarm List with all the active alarms. Using Reject button, the Caregiver can basically scroll through all active alarms.
Managing alarms
The following buttons can be used for managing alarms:
OK – when pressing Ok button, the alarm is accepted
Call – when pressing the call back button, W-AIR handset initiates a call to the resident number, but it doesn't NOT accept the alarm:
Reject – it rejects the alarm
Hangup – it stops the alarm
Reviewing active alarms
To access the active alarms on W-AIR handset
Press Menu button and select Alarm List icon or just press on the right arrow (i.e. shortcut button)
Select an alarm in the list to get details about it
Date and Time
Alarm Device
Subject (Alarm Type or Location for Pendants)
Resident Name (optional, if configured)
Press OK button to accept the alarm or Call button to call back the resident
Handling callback alarms
When an alarm is received with a callback number set:
The W-AIR handset shows the callback number as the sender
Press the Call button to directly call this number back
Depending on the Сallback confirm setting:
Enabled: an alarm confirmation message is automatically sent, once the call is connected with the specified callback number
Disabled: no confirmation message is sent when using the callback option
Note: If the call is redirected to voicemail, the alarm may still be treated as confirmed, since the system cannot distinguish between voicemail and a real connection.
