Note

Wizyconf is distinguished by updates from 3 different branches:

  1. Wiziconf app via Chromium OS (automatic upgrade). To upgrade:
    1. Put the device into sleep. The process is performed while Wizyconf is in sleep mode
    2. To check the App version, go to Wizyconf Settings menu-> click on Main menu (three lines) -> select About Chromium OS (mouse is required)
  2. WMS interface (manual upgrade). To upgrade:
    1. Upgrade WMS to the latest version from rel40/ rel40beta repositories
  3. Conference server: no need to upgrade, the changes are available right away

[WMS-8088] - wizy: replaced native screen sharing with WebRTC screen sharing inside a video conference

Notes:

  • no need to install screen sharing extension
  • supported browsers: Chrome v. 72+; Firefox v. 66+
  • macOS: make sure that your browser has access for screen recording in Security & Privacy Settings (detailed information in the Guide)

How-to:

  • After screen sharing is activated, select the content you want to share: the entire screen, a separate application window or your browser's tab and click Share button
  • To terminate the screen sharing session, click Stop sharing button

Current limitation: Collaboration Native App doesn't support WebRTC screen sharing
