In WMS 6 we updated the kernel version of the system and its core components. This means state-of-the-art stability, reliability, and security for your customers’ systems, better and faster performance, more efficient use of CPU and resources, and many other improvements.

In this blog article, you will learn what’s new in the WMS version 6.02. In particular, we will talk about major UX/ UI updates of WMS GUI, Veesion integration with x-hoppers, new APIs, meeting scheduling in Outlook calendar, and much more. Full changelog is available at this link: https://wildix.atlassian.net/wiki/x/AQDIAw

Major UX/ UI updates of WMS GUI

The first thing that you notice after updating the PBX, is the brand-new WMS GUI:

  • The top menu moved to the left-hand sidebar (Users - Trunks - Devices - Dialplan - Settings menus)

  • The left-hand sidebar is collapsable/ expandable

  • Information about the user is displayed at the top right-hand side of the screeen (user picture, role, name)

  • WMS version information is available at the bottom right-hand side of the screen

Other UX/ UI improvements in WMS interface include:

  • Visualization and rendering of certain pages and dialogs: Backups page, WMS network page (Virtual/ Hardware PBXs), Hotel integration page, Debug page, Generate call dialog

  • Updated design and modal windows on the Groups page (WMS -> Users)

  • Improved IP ban behavior and users registration check

  • Added new engine (neural TTS) to Sound dialog

UX/ UI improvements of the Dialplan page

Finding the right Dialplan rule or the right called number can be challenging when you have hundreds of DIDs.

With this release we add two new buttons: Expand all and Collapse all, allowing you to display or hide all the details of a certain Dialplan rule.

In addition to that, now you can add labels to your called numbers so that you can easier find and understand what those called numbers mean or whom they belong to.

Collaboration Mobile apps improvements

Auto-fill domain in case application installed from the welcome email

Onboarding new users becomes easier: from now on, when a user downloads the app following the link from the welcome email, the domain and extension parts are already filled out for them.

Note: Support starts from apps versions: Android 5.11, iOS 8.11

Forward certain calls to the native dialer

There are certain cases when we want to bypass the PBX when placing a call and redirect certain calls to the native dialer. For example, when calling emergency services.

In this version, we add a possibility for the system administrator, to enable the forwarding of calls to certain called numbers to the native dialer. To enable this behavior, the system administrator needs to edit a custom config file on the PBX, listing the called numbers.
