How to Use Ideas Feature in Salesforce Partner Community

Introduction

Ideas is a feature that allows you to submit, vote on, and discuss ideas/ feature requests related to Wildix products, services. It helps to gather feedback and prioritize improvements to Wildix solutions.

Features

  • Idea submission: suggest new ideas or enhancements, view ideas submitted by othersĀ 

  • Voting: vote up or down on ideas, submitted by other usersĀ 

  • Commenting: discuss ideas via comments

  • Status updates: monitor ideas status and implementation

How to Access

To access Ideas in Salesforce Partner Community:

  1. Log in toĀ Salesforce Partner Community

  2. ClickĀ MoreĀ in the top panel -> choose theĀ Idea ExchangeĀ option

  1. On the page that opens, you can view the list of submitted ideas, including such information as the number of votes and idea status

  1. To easily find the ideas related to certain products, you can use the Categories section on the left and filter ideas by products, e.g. x-bees, x-hoppers, CLASSOUND, Integrations, etc.Ā

  1. Also, you can use the Search field, by entering description or idea ID:

  1. You can also filter ideas by status: Open, In development, Delivered, Discarded, Duplicate:

By default, ideas are sorted by most votes. To sort ideas by submission date, click on the drop-down menu on the right and choose the option Submission Date:

View and Vote for Ideas

You can upvote/ downvote the idea right from the main page:

To view more details about an idea, just click on it:

The Idea page opens, where you can:

  • view the number of upvotes and downvotes

  • upvote / downvote the idea


It is possible to remove a vote or change an upvote to a downvote, and vice versa.

  • see the idea description

  • follow / unfollow the idea

  • see its status, submitter and submission date

  • view recent activities related to the ideaĀ 

  • post a comment

Submit an Idea

To submit an idea:

  1. Proceed to My Activity tab:

  1. Click Post

  1. In the Information section, choose Category

  1. Under Description, enter title and provide enough details about your idea

  1. When completed, click Create Idea

  1. The page related to the idea automatically opens

The list of all ideas you've created and which you are following is displayed on the Ideas page -> My Activity tab:

Also, they are automatically added to the section Ideas Iā€™m Following. An idea you create automatically gets upvoted by you.

To switch to the ideas you are following, click on the relevant tab:
