This guide explains how to perform manual upgrade of WP600A and WP600AXX.

Introduction

Manual upgrade of WP600A and WP600AXX phones can be performed from a USB flash drive with the relevant firmware uploaded to it. 

Preparing a USB flash drive with the latest firmware


  1. Connect a USB flash drive to your computer/ laptop.
  2. Download the firmware that corresponds to your phone model by the links below:

    1. Latest firmware for WP600A:  https://firmwares.wildix.com/app/android/wp600a/firmware.zip

    2. Latest firmware for WP600ACG: https://firmwares.wildix.com/app/android/wp600a/firmware-acg.zip

  3. Add the downloaded file to the USB flash drive.

Important: Using incorrect firmware may damage your device. Make sure to download the corresponding version of firmware for WP600A and WP600ACG respectively.

Performing manual upgrade of WP600A/ WP600AXX

  1. Connect the specially prepared USB flash drive to your WP600A or WP600AXX phone. 
  2. Go to the phone Settings -> scroll down to About Multimedia Terminal.
  3. Proceed to System Update -> System Update Now.
  4. On the System Update screen, click the button Select other upgrade package.
  5. Click on the blue arrow button to go to the /mnt folder, where you can access your USB storage. 
  6. Find the folder named usb_storage and click on it. 
  7. Select the file with the firmware you’ve previously downloaded.
  8. Wait till the firmware is installed and the system reboots.
