Note

Wizyconf is distinguished by updates from 3 different branches:

  1. Wizyconf app via Chromium OS (automatic upgrade). The system checks for updates once an hour. If there is a new version, it is downloaded and installed upon the next start. To upgrade:
    1. Power the device off/on by pressing Power button on Wizyconf Core or put it into a standby mode by pressing Power On/ Off button on Remote Control
    2. To check the App version, press Home button on a keyboard -> go to Wizyconf Settings menu (Google chrome icon)-> click on Main menu (three lines) -> select About Chromium OS (a mouse and a keyboard are required)
  2. WMS interface (manual upgrade). To upgrade:
    1. Upgrade WMS to the latest version from rel50/ rel50beta repositories
  3. Conference server: no need to upgrade, the changes are available right away

  • Added noise suppression effect, which reduces background noise and echo in cases when several participants are in the same meeting room.
    To enable the feature, click three dots (More optionsactions) button -> Noise suppression 
  • Introduced Whiteboard feature, that includes a set of tools to draw different shapes, elements or add text.
    If needed, you can save the created materials in png or svg formats.  
  • Added the option End meeting for all when PBX user leaves the meeting, which allows to remove all participants and stop the meeting right away 
  • Added possibility to choose how many participants can be pinned on the main screen:
    Go to More actions -> Settings -> proceed to More tab and set the max number.
  • Divided screen sharing and user’s local video, so that when sharing the screen, the user can see local video and screen sharing separately
  • Enabled audio settings menu on the microphone button for Firefox 100 or higher
  • Made some performance improvements

  • IntroducedShared Polls functionalityso that Speakers can share surveys and questionnaires that other Speakers can reuse.

  • Added some new functionality on Wizywebinar tab in Collaboration -> Recordings -> Edit recording section:

    • possibility to password-protect a recording

    • possibility to share recording link and downloadable link
      Note: Downloadable link is not password protected

  • Made it possible to download a file with recording statistics which shows how often and extensively the recordings were played.

  • Added an option to protect sessions with end-to-end encryption (E2EE), which ensures that both audio and video streams, including screen share, are not being read or secretly modified by anyone other than the actual senders and their recipients.
    Notes: 
    • The feature is available upon request only. The request should be sent to denis.popov@wildix.com.
    • E2EE is not compatible with Recordings, Live Streaming. E2EE is also not compatible with mobile - mobile users won't be able to join encrypted sessions.

  • Added possibility to input ampersands (&) in First Name and Last Name fields when inviting participants to a meeting. 

  • Renamed Bookmarks into Download Bookmarks button in Recordings -> Edit recording section for more clarity.

  • Updated German translations.
